Detailed Information on Single Screw Extruder

Umang's Single Screw Extruder is designed to produce extrudes of different diameters. This is specially designed for continuous Palletization to produce extrudes/noodles of different sizes. Lab as well as Scale up models such as USSE 60, USSE 110 & USSE 140 are available for higher production capacity of up to 300 kg/hrs. The extrusion is a wet granulation technique. It is a method of applying pressure to a wet mass until it flows through an orifice. It is a technique that determines the two dimensions of an agglomeration of particles. The cross-sectional shape is set by the hole. The only measurement variable is the length of the extrude. This step is the most important one for determining the end particle size of the pellets. The hole diameter of the screen directly controls the diameter of the extrudes. In this process the wet mass is passed through the mesh to form cylindrical extrudes of uniform diameter. Precision Mixing: Features concentric rotors that counter-rotate within a cylindrical screen. The inner rotor (feeder) distributes the wet mass into cavities between blades on the outer rotor (Pressing Cam) generating consistent pressure 3. Continuous Pressure Generation: Blades on the outer rotor create a continuous wave of pressure, efficiently processing the material as they sweep across the screen’s inner surface 4. Flexible Screen Options: Can be equipped with various screens of different hole diameters and wall thicknesses for customized processing (0.4mm-3mm) 5. Variable Speed Control: The rotor’s variable speed drive allows for fine-tuning of product compaction and consistency offering high flexibility in extrusion.
